Deep Well Grounding System
PVDF/HMWPE 1.8/3KV Cathodic Protection Power Cable
Application:
These cables are designed for use in cathodic protection deep well installations or other situations where
resistance to chlorine gas is required. The primary ECTFE (Halar) / PVDF insulation provides chemical
resistance properties. The secondary or outer jacket of high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) provides
abrasion resistance. It can be used as deep anode lead wires where chlorine and hydrogen gases are
generated. The cable can be directly installed in fresh, brackish, or salt waters .
FEATURES AND BENEFITES:
The inner layer or the primary insulation of the cable is composed of HALAR / PVDF which has exceptional
chemical resistance in the presents of chlorine, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid. The outer insulating layer is high
molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) it exhibits superior dielectric and tensile strength and provides
mechanical protection. And can withstand considerable abuse during installation.
CONSTRUCTION:
CONDUCTOR : Stranded bare copper conductor conforms to ASTM Specification B-3 and B-8.
INSULATION : A homogeneous wall of natural ECTFE fluoro-polymer (Halar) or PVDF shall be extruded over the
conductor.
JACKET : High molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) shall be extruded around the primary insulation. The
jacket conforms to ASTM Spec D 1248. Special Coating can be applied as an option to enhance the heat
resistant properties of the cables.
PHYSICAL AND THERMAL PROPERTIES:
Temperature Limits: -15 ~ 105℃
Bending Radius:15 x OD
Ampacity: 50A (with the temperature of the surrounding material of 100℃)
